I upgraded my blog to the new Wordpress 2.3 version and also created an entirely new design. I opted for a cleaner and lighter look than for the previous version. I hope you like the new look of the Tommunication blog.

Also, if you know any corporate blogs in Belgium, don’t hesitate to add them to the “corporate blogs in Belgium” Wiki.

Two days ago, I dropped half a bottle of water on my Gericom Notebook. I shut it down immediately and at the same time I tried to dry my keyboard with a towel. After that, I was pretty sure that my laptop was toasted from what I’ve read on other forums and blogs where people wrote about their experiences with the deadly combination of water and notebooks.

After 24 hours, I tried to switch it on. It worked but the screen freezed on the windows startup. At that moment, I had a little hope. This morning, two days after the incident, to my surpirse, my notebook works fine again. So, for once, I have to give some credit to the guys of Gericom for building a “robust” notebook as the majority of the critics that I found on the net about Gericom aren’t very positive.

Did anyone have a similar experience with their notebook?

The english posts are going to be more general and about everything that’s going on on the web right now concerning Web 2.0 and social media. And the french posts are going to be about corporate blogging in Belgium which is the theme of my “mémoire”.

My name is Tom Kayser and I’m from the little country of Luxembourg. I’m studying public relations at the UCL in a city called Louvain-la-neuve in Belgium.
This blog is about public relations on the Internet, social media, Web 2.0, blogs in general and corporate blogging. These last months, I’ve been following the blogosphere more closely and after reading a lot of books about social software and blogs, I have decided to join the conversation and have my own blogging experience.
