I shut it down immediately and at the same time I tried to dry my keyboard with a towel. After that, I was pretty sure that my laptop was toasted from what I’ve read on other forums and blogs where people wrote about their experiences with the deadly combination of water and notebooks.

After 24 hours, I tried to switch it on. It worked but the screen freezed on the windows startup. At that moment, I had a little hope. This morning, two days after the incident, to my surpirse, my notebook works fine again. So, for once, I have to give some credit to the guys of Gericom for building a “robust” notebook as the majority of the critics that I found on the net about Gericom aren’t very positive.

Did anyone have a similar experience with their notebook?
